What is enamel?

Depending on who you ask and where you are in the world; enamel has many names, vitreous enamel (VE), porcelain enamel or glazed steel, steel enamel. What all of these have in common are that they are made with steel, enamel frit and heat.

VE Architectural Cladding

Vitreous enamel panels are sustainable and versatile Vitreous enamel is perfectly suited for architectural use. VE architectural panels are manufactured in various sizes and can be personalized with individual designs and prints. This means a complete freedom to use graphics and logos as well as a virtually unlimited colour range that is made to last for decades, since VE steel is completely resistant to ultra violet light and the original colours and surface finish will not deteriorate under continuous exposure to sunlight.

VE Underground and Rail

First choice worldwide for the underground rail and subway stations

Vitreous enamel coating is extremely durable and naturally reflective. VE panels are environmentally very safe and perfectly suited for use in underground and rail environments. The VE panels are incombustible, will neither ignite nor burn and will withstand continuous temperatures of up to +400°C.

The VE panels last for decades and Finemal gives a 20 year guarantee for the panels. Graffiti is a seroius problem in the underground and rail inveronment. The VE panels are easilly cleaned from Graffiti because the surface is like glass. You just wipe off the paint and now marks or shades from the graffiti are visible.
